WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?

Our Sanctuary

"God created the church to meet your five deepest needs:

a Purpose to live for, People to live with, Principles to live by, a Profession to live out, and Power to live on.

There is no other place on earth where you can find all five of these benefits in one place."

                                                                                                                                       - Rick Warren.

Immediately upon entering the church, you will be greeted by one of our members, happy to answer any questions you might have.  Our ushers will provide any assistance you may need.

There are aids for the hearing impaired.

The Sanctuary

Worship service is held at 10:45 each Sunday in the sanctuary.

Style of Dress

People attend worship at FPCW in a wide variety of attire, and you will be welcome here no matter what you wear.

Worship Service

Our Sunday morning worship service starts with some gathering music and includes congregational singing and a sermon from a passage of the Bible. We also incorporate responsive readings, church life announcements, prayer, and passing of the peace.  Communion is held the first Sunday of the month.  Our service normally lasts an hour.

Childcare

Childcare for babies and young children is available in a fully equipped and engaging nursery in  the lower level of the Fellowship Hall.  Please meet an usher in the sanctuary and they will escort you to the nursery.

Discipleship Classes

Sunday mornings at 9:15.    Joining in - even for just a class or two -  can be a great way to know the church a bit better and learn more about Christianity.

Refreshments Following Service

There’s a fellowship time after the worship service, and you’re invited!   We gather in the Fellowship Hall for refreshments and conversation. It's a great way to meet some of the people of FPCW.

THE DOORS OF FPCW

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you."   Mathew 7:7

There are 92 doors at FPC Waynesville, many old and original, some just old. Some are heavy, swing in or just stand open.  Nearly all are beautiful.  No matter.  Whatever door you open in this church will lead to something you need, even if it's just a way out.    It is our hope that as you explore the church, you will come to know that with every door there's a welcome, a beginning and a place of belonging.
