CALL TO WORSHIP    from Psalm 106

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.
Who can list the glorious miracles of the Lord?  Who can ever praise him half enough?

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!  His faithful love endures forever.

PRAYER OF ADORATION

Sovereign God, thank you for your loving governance of this world and our lives.

Your wisdom is beyond our comprehension. You love is too vast to measure.

Your promises are never broken. With grateful hearts we praise and adore you,

In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

CALL TO CONFESSION

God already knows our hearts yet each week we confess

how far we fall short of God’s holy standard so that we will be

forgiven, strengthened and changed.

In humility and faith, let us confess together:

Merciful Lord, we confess our stubbornness when it comes to broken relationships.

We confess our failure to rejoice and pray and be grateful, no matter our circumstances.

We admit ongoing worry, as if you have ceased to be Sovereign over heaven and earth.

In your mercy, forgive us by the power of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

-          Spend a few moments in silent confession –

ASSURANCE OF PARDON

The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in love.

Friends believe the Good News. In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven! Thanks be to God. Amen.

*AFFIRMATION OF FAITH,  from A Brief Statement of Faith

In life and death we belong to God.

Through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,

the love of God and the communion of the Holy Spirit,

we trust in the one triune God, the Holy One of Israel,

whom alone we worship and serve.

With believers in every time and place,  we rejoice that nothing in life or in death

can can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

PRAYER & LORD's PRAYER

Almighty and Gracious God,

Thank you for the privilege of being in your presence and pouring our hearts out to you in prayer.

Thank you for providing practical counsel and for helping us apply this counsel each day.

We pray for the world because you so love the world. Provide wisdom to our local, state and federal governments

and for the leaders of every nation.

We pray for peace in every land. Sustain all who are persecuted for having faith in you,

for those oppressed by evil nations, and for each person who suffers injustice, poverty and hunger.

Help those who still battle the wildfires in the west and those devasted by ongoing hurricanes

and other natural disasters. Heal the sick and comfort those who are grieving loss.

Thank you for our health professionals, first responders, military, missionaries and their families.

Strengthen and protect them as they continue to give their lives on behalf of others.

Thank you for each member and friend of this church.

Help us, encourage us, protect and guide us through these days. Strengthen our faith and bring us back together soon.

In all these things we pray for your perfect will, as you taught your disciples to pray, saying:

LORD’S PRAYER

Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name.

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil:

For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

GOD’S TITHES & OUR OFFERINGS

God of Abundance, Provider of all our needs, we bring these gifts to you with thankful hearts.

Receive, bless and multiply them to be used for your service and glory.

In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.

(You may give on-line, mail a check to the church address, or drop it in the church mailbox).

DOXOLOGY

Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Praise Him, all creatures here below.

Praise Him above ye heavenly host. Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen.

What is certain in these uncertain days? What is your “blessed assurance”?

You’ve given the gift of yourself to God in worship…now, what have you learned?

Will you apply the practical counsel of the Lord?

BENEDICTION

The Lord bless you and keep you.

The Lord make his face shine upon you, and be gracious unto you;

The Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you his perfect peace,

both now and forevermore. Amen.
