Music

"I will sing to the Lord, for he has been good to me."  - Psalm 13:6

Music has a special place in our worship and church life, and the choir is a joyous part of worship each week.    Our ministry offers an outlet for all those who have a love of music in worship.  We invite everyone, no matter their skill set, to join us in our ministry and fellowship.

Sanctuary Choir

The choir is composed of four voice parts and performs a variety of styles -- from classical to spirituals to contemporary.

They provide music for Sunday worship and special services throughout the year - such as Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Palm Sunday and Easter. The Christmas Eve Candlelight Service of Lessons & Carols is always a highlight of the season.

The choir is open to all adults who love to sing.

Rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 4:00 pm to 5:15 pm in the Sanctuary.

Chimes (Three Octaves)

FPCW has been fortunate to add a chime choir, which plays once or twice each month during Sunday worship.

It is open to all adults and rehearses on Wednesdays from 5:15 pm to 6:30 pm in the Sanctuary.

Special Music (Instrumentalists and Vocalists)

Occasionally the choir is joined by guest musicians from the  community and/or instrumentalists from among the FPCW congregation or choir.

We are always looking for instrumentalists and/or vocalists to provide special music for worship.

Contact Joel Lillethun, Minister of Music, to discuss opportunities.
